3-Ingredient Lemon Scones

Scones have become a favourite recipe of mine. They are easy to make, quick to bake, and delicious at all times of the day. Today, I'm sharing another 3-ingredient recipe of these scones that aren't overly lemon-y or sweet. Perfect with jam, butter, tea, or whatever your heart desires.


  • 3 cups self-rising flour (which you can make by combining 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp salt, and 4 1/2 tsp baking powder )

  • 1 cup lemon-flavoured soda

  • 1 cup heavy cream


Preheat oven to 425F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Sift self-rising flour into a large bowl. Combine lemon soda and cream and pour over the flour.

Mix until dough is just combined. You will end up mixing with your hands so dust them with flour!

Turn dough out onto a prepared surface dusted lightly with flour. Flour your hands and work surface and gently roll out the dough.

Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into circles and place on the baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
