Self Care Saturday: DIY Body Scrubs
Updated: Apr 9, 2020
Body scrubs are an amazing way to take little bits of the day away. Personally, I love using a scrub in the shower after a long day or a good workout. The awesome thing about scrubs is that they are incredibly easy to make for yourself (or as a gift). Today, I'm sharing 3 easy scrubs you can make for yourself. Incredibly, these scrubs take only 5 minutes each to make, so if you're scrambling for time, these are your solution!
Depending on your scent preferences, scrubs are adjustable. Here are some great ones you can make:
Vanilla Latte Scrub

Ingredients
1/4 cup ground coffee
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup olive oil
Add all ingredients except the olive oil into a bowl and mix until blended.

Drizzle olive oil until you get the consistency you want and spoon into a mason jar.
Sugar Cookie Scrub

Ingredients
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sea salt
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp unscented castile soap
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Add sugar and salt to a bowl and mix thoroughly.

In a separate bowl, gently mix castile soap and vanilla.

Add the castile soap mixture and olive oil to sugar/salt mixture and combine thoroughly. Scoop scrub into a mason jar.
Coffee Salt Scrub

Ingredients
1 1/2 cup coarse sea salt
1 cup dry coffee grounds
1 cup coconut oil (liquidy/melted)
5-10 drops of essential oil of choice (I used peppermint)
In a bowl add coarse sea salt and coffee grounds and stir.

Place coconut oil and essential oils into bowl and stir until you get your desired consistency. Add to mason jar.
I hope you enjoy these scrubs and they bring you a level of relaxation and comfort to your day, enjoy! xo
