Travel Bucket List: Europe
Updated: Apr 10, 2020
Last up in this series is Europe. I've had a European passport for about 6 years, so travelling through this beautiful continent would be easier than with others. While I certainly have more than these countries on my list, these are the next ones I want to discover.
Iceland & Greenland
First off, I want to see the Aurora Borealis. I'm not 100% sure if I can see it in both countries or not, but I definitely need to experience that. These two countries also have beautiful landscapes. I also can't help but love that the Vikings trolled the world by naming the countries the opposite of what their landscapes actually are.
The UK (Scotland, Ireland, and England)
These neighbours (who are in the midst of a complicated relationship with Europe) are also full of history and landscape. My historical interest is mostly due to my love of Tudor-era history. I'm fairly certain that there are multiple places within the UK that have historic tours.
Additionally, I began watching "Outlander," which has brought my attention to the beauty of Scotland. It is another country filled with beautiful scenery and history that I would love to explore.
Being a fan of Game of Thrones for years, I discovered that many of the King's Landing scenes were filmed in Croatia. It's a stunning country to see and I would love to learn more about its history and culture.
